BJ’s story 💙
This project is a testament to BJ's loving and determined spirit, fulfilling her vision to help those in need. Join us in continuing her legacy of kindness and support.

A vision to help others
BJ struggled for many years with mental health and substance abuse, but one thing about her—she always wanted to help others. About a year before she went to be with the Lord, she came to me with a vision. She sat down and told me in detail what she wanted to do: collect backpacks and fill them with non-perishable food, socks, personal hygiene items, feminine products, and even things people don’t think about—like Ziploc bags to keep belongings dry, chargers, and ponchos.

BJ’s determined spirit
I remember telling her there were already places doing that. But she looked at me and said she was going to do it anyway, even if she had to wear one of her clown costumes to make it happen. That was BJ. Determined. Loving. Full of heart. I told her I would help her one day when she was ready. A year later, BJ passed.

Continuing her legacy
So on the anniversary of her first year in heaven—dancing, laughing, and probably clowning around—I started BJ’s Project. And I will continue it proudly, as promised. We are collecting gently used or new backpacks to fill with essential items to give to those in need or on the streets. This project is important to Ranch 41 RCO as it embodies the caring soul of BJ and our commitment to supporting our community.
BJ’s Project: a testament to her caring soul.
Ranch 41 RCO is honored to continue BJ's vision of compassion and support for those facing homelessness and adversity.
